For our one night stay, the hotel's rooms were in poor condition and quite run down, with an outdated feel and heating on full blast. The service was friendly but the staff seemed a bit shabby without uniforms. The location was lovely and chilled, great for family visits, despite not being exactly as mountainous as implied. The dining experience was good overall, with quality food offerings. The facilities were decent but could use some updating.

The hotel offers affordable rooms with simple furnishings. Despite being clean and warm, there were some disappointments. The services provided did try to compensate for issues, but there were some lapses in breakfast and bar timings. The location is convenient, though slightly dated. The dining experience could be improved with better breakfast options. Overall, it has potential but falls short in some areas.

Upon arrival, the hotel presented some minor issues like a dated interior and a small TV in the room. Despite the damp ceiling that had been fixed, the room still contained personal items from previous guests. The location, though not exactly in the mountains as expected, offered easy access to nearby towns and historic sites.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a large damp ceiling that had been fixed but not redecorated. It felt quite dated inside, and the TV was small for the room size. Additionally, there were items left behind by the previous guest like clothes, shoes, and toiletries.
Service
7.0
They were nice and friendly, although it seems staff rotation is needed for a more consistent service.
Location
8.0
The hotel, situated in the countryside near Flint with its golf course, provided pleasant views and convenient access to the coast and North Welsh mountains. It was easy to reach from the A55, making it a good base for exploring historic buildings in the area.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast fell short of expectations with a very standard offering, including items like one medium egg, one rasher of bacon, and minimal variety. The presentation could have been improved with simple changes like serving juice in jugs instead of cartons.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel's dining area lacked some presentability and the breakfast was mediocre compared to other chains.
